The community of Britstown, west of De Aar and found on the N12 in the Northern Cape, required services that utilised the promise of a green field adjacent to established parts of the community. A site comprising 848 stands, the project began in January 2021. The proposed developments allowed the municipality to relocate community members to stands with working services and infrastructure, improving their quality of life. Individuals from the local community were employed during the project, and infrastructure included roads, stormwater drainage, and a water reticulation system and sewer network. The project was completed on schedule in November 2021.
